Don't you think the new IS has already been designed and is mostly complete?

So could the new IS go into production in 6-8 months from now?

 

There hasn't been any word from headquarters about a new IS just yet. Lexus is currently working to launch the new ES now that the new RX and GS450h have been released.

 

most signs are pointing to Feb 13'

 

depending on the new IS body style ill either buy a 2IS ISF or have up a ton for the next gen.....so many choices!

 

Does any one heard of the redesign of the new 2013 is 250/350 model? I went to Lexus dealer a couple of weeks ago and they said the model won't change until 2014 and the car will be 3 inch longer since lots of ppl are talking about the room in the back seat

 

the 3IS gonna be 2014 model giving the fact 2013 GS had already dabuted a few months ago. so technicially there's going to be a short lived 2013 MY 2IS.

 

Maybe, maybe not. If you were going to go based purely on what happened with the GS, then there won't be. They jumped from 2011 to 2013 without a 2012 model. Same for the LX and Land Cruiser.

I would say February 2013 will be the 3is 2014!

 

I would not go by what a dealer tells.

 

Someone posted a youtube of the 2014 IS front end, however it looks more like the 1st one on the far right that was pictured at the auto show below. I thought it was the 2nd one in on the far right, this youtube clip doesn't look like the 2nd one in on the right.
