Default Power Steering

Ok, so I woke up and headed to work this morning and as soon as I try to get out of the driveway, the wheel would not turn. I had to literally force it to turn in the direction I wanted to go.

Does that mean my Power Steering fluid is leaking? If so, I can go pick some up and add it myself? I really dont want to touch it because it looks crazy under the hood and I dont want to mess anything up. I topped off the fluids in my Honda before with no problems but this car scares me....lol

Any advice/suggestions?

thanks!

I'd check the fuse.

Yea, I was just reading through the manual and saw that....I got in touch with a dealer here but they wont be able to see me for about a week. Is my car safe to drive until then?

FYI it's not a fluid problem since the car doesn't have any power steering fluid.

When anything like this happens you should call Lexus Roadside Assistance. It is covered under your warranty, they will get you a free tow to the dealership, and the dealership is required to give you a loaner at that time. Don't just rely on the dealership, as they will try to fit you in on THEIR time.

Nothing negative towards Germany or overseas but i'm ready to come back to the US! You have to go through too much just to get an appt around here...they need proof of purchase, title, etc before they even work on your car.
