Default HID replacement bulb question

Just a quick question...

Are both D4S bulbs and D4C bulbs compatible for the IS250?

I ordered D4S from XenonDepot and they sent me the D4C bulbs.

Please advise - thanks!

So I went to change out the bulbs and the passenger side first - no problems but this side was working fine.

Went to change the bulb that wasn't working and when I removed the bulb I could smell burnt carbon... so upon further inspection it seems that the bulb had arc'd with the D4S connector and the pins have been melted.

So... I believe the car is still under warranty, I would assume this would be covered?

If not then is there somewhere I can just replace the connector and not the entire wiring harness? I had it apart tonight - not that difficult to change on my own f I can get the parts.

Has anyone had this happen?

Thx in advance.

Just a note here - this happened with the stock bulb.

the drivers side light went out and i figured it was the bulb so I ordered the XD bulb. upon installation i realized it was the stock bulb the arc'd with the connector and now the contacts in the connector have burnt out.

I am calling the dealer...

Why wait to call the dealer now after you found the melted connector? Your OEM light bulb would have been covered under the warranty..ship those back to xenon depot unless you bought a different kelvin rating to change the color output of the stock bulbs.

Our local dealer told us the bulbs were not covered and they would charge us the labour to check to see if it was the bulb or a warranty.

Figured i would check myself to save the $$$

I have an appt next week at a different dealer so all should be good
