Story..

So I was back in for the 3rd time on headlight adjustment...
This time left one is facing straight down .. right one is facing straight up...
which means none is facing the concrete..
Call at noon service guy says to bring it by to see what they can do..
I show up at 1715..
All the guys are gone serv adv doesnt tell me this on the phone..
asks me when I can bring it back....

The first problem I have is from searchig CL is that they didnt do the alignments right... not even close..
Just parked in a garage bay closed the door.. Walla..

We were on our way to go out for a night out..
Kinda need light ...
Serv adviser tells me sorry theres nothign I can do..
I tell him you realize If I get in a wreck you are liable??
He replies theres nothign we can do we have no loaners..
I left saying wrong answer..

Went to salesman..
Hey willie we need to have a chat about your "awesome" service dept you bragged about..
told him the story..
he made a few calls serv manager etc..
I heard something to the tune of that isnt what Lexus service does pretty pissed ...
I had an 09 ES in about 2 minutes..
I would of been happy with an used Corrola..

Moral of teh story...

If you know you are getting screwed totally by the serv dept get your salesman involved..
I sold new cars for 2 years and If a customer of mine came to me pissed I brought it to the highest level....
Cause a previous customer of mine who came in I had an 88% chance of selling them a new car..


Also I live in Guam..
Only lexus dealer for 3ooo miles...
Kinda gotz me by the *****...
But what can ya do??
So far the service dept has been ok

Ive been to annapolis Lexus.. WOW that place makes this serv dept look like a jiffy lube..


Oh and while I was tlking to the salesman wife eyeballed an 09 Is...
Salesman is working the #s up right now this is going to be a extremely expensive headlight alignment..

Sometimes these little experiences teach the biggest lessons of patience. I feel your pain. Knowing how frustrating it can be, I always go into my service experiences expecting the worst. So when it only goes half bad or even good, I come out feeling super satisfied.

 

why not adjust the headlight yourself?

My father and brother are both retired USAF officers. My dad was stationed in Guam during the Vietnam war, he was an electronics war fare technician on a B-52 - jammed radar and all that good stuff. He use to tell me stories about the snakes and iguanas in Guam.

Does Lexus have a dealership in Guam?
