Default Tire Question

So my wife's IS 250 need new shoes, and I am looking at getting some 255/40-18 BFGoodrich T/A KDW for the rear, and 225/40-18 BFGoodrich T/A KDW for the front. Does anyone have any feedback on these tires? I am also looking at a set of Goodyear F1 GS-D3 tires, are these any better?

Thanks for any help,

I bought a set of tires for my wife's is250 today, they were Michelin Pilot AS plus. Took $1100 to close the deal, sounds like a lot, however they come with a 45,000 mile warranty. Having a staggered wheel IS you can understand your not going to get that many miles so they will pro-rate the miles up to 45K.

What ever tire you decide on review specs or surveys @tirerack.com it helped me.

since you said wife and I'm assuming that she doesn't track or drive crazy. ( I could be wrong ) I'd say get the cheapest best deal you can with tires. 'cause tires are tires. you're just using it as a daily driver and so I'd find the best deal you could get.

honestly, goodyr F1 GS-D3 on a wifes 250 is an incredible waste of money... UNLESS she takes the 250 to... laguna seca or i guess in your area, Daytona on track days, NOT TO MENTION the 250 part ... Just get General UMP tires, 380 treadwear rating and under $150 per tire for 19's so for 18's? $130 or less?... How good are they? i have a 350 and i use them and we got just as much rain here as you have there

I love the F1 GS-D3, I had them on my Cobra and there were great. But I guess they will be a little over kill on the little old 250 LOL. It is just pretty much a DD to say gas.....
