Default Air Filter

hey guys,
my IS350 is at 15000 miles. My mpg is going down steadily. I think I need a new air filter.
anyone know where I can get one for a fair price. and how much??

I dont want the dealer to charge me double for the same filter i can buy elsewhere.

You have a good excuse for getting a F-Sport Intake....

Carson's a good source, so is Sewell Lexus, both are sponsors on these forums and there should be an abundance of links to them on this site. I bought both the engine air filter and cabin air filter at the same time from Sewell, so I got fresh breathing for my car and for me too.

by the way, most dealers wouldn't rip you off for the part, though they might be a little more expensive than Sewell or Carson... where they rip you off is in the charge for labor. Well usually changing the filter is part of a 15K or 30K service so you'd be over paying for essentially an oil change and filter change. The filters are easy to change yourself, the engine one takes maybe 10 min if you're slow and drinking and taking photos while you do it; the air cabin filter takes a little more disassembly but 20 min tops.

But if not I think it is a good reason to get yourself an aftermarket intake

I got both my air filter and cabin filter for $44 shipped from autopartsplace.com. The price was $10 cheaper than rockauto. Check it out it you want just a standard filter and a charcoal cabin air filter.
