you should ask member Joe Z, since he might be the only one who posts here that actually has them on his car. if you just want hid fogs, just convert your foglights to HIDS using a conversion kit that can be bought from vendors here on CL. i would only buy that jdm foglight, because of the leds and factory hid wiring.

Most likely they are 4300k or so, based on the factory look. You could always swap the bulbs out, assuming you know the base size, probably D4S or D2S. Of course, I don't have this, so you'd be best to talk about someone who does

the jdm fogs use osram 4300k d2s bulbs. you can swap em out but you'll need a special screw driver... looks like a torx head with a hole in the middle. if you get em, make sure you find the instructions for it. they're nearly impossible to install w/o it...

Bingo !!

Yes its a Torx tamper proof screw head...

and

I agree.. With out instructions its a beach!!

Personally, I would not crack these open to paint..

I have had the 3000k bulbs sitting somewhere in my garage for the last several months...

Maybe I will install them in this week and take some pics.

Like any other housing, they can be cracked open and done as you please..

But personally, after dropping that kind of change on them, I would not even think about opening them up to paint..

I would not want to deal with any possible leakage issues done the road.

Halo's are possible, but again not much room to work with and not worth the potential problems down the road......

&

I guess you really want to paint the small chrome area??
