Default Recall Completed

Had the recall done at Inskip Lexus in Warwick, RI.

A truly excellent experience. They did the recall, replaced the front brakes and gave me a loaner for a day and a half.

I was greeted promptly, and was in and out in a couple of minutes.

The service adviser called to let me know the car was almost done early the next morning and around noon again to say the car was ready for pickup.

When I called in about the recall they also offered to have the car picked up and delivered at no charge.

There service has been 1st rate.

Magnussen Fremont does pickup service too. They even come to your house to program LPS.

One of the recalls is brake related (rear caliper bolt IIRC)

Nice to hear you had great service, because I just made a service schedule there for Feb 11th to do my recall on the steering, fuel rail, and rear brake. They told me it will take the whole day so I ask for a loaner for that day. For the recall on the front brake pads do you have to ask them to check it out or will they ask you if you want to do it?

I told the service advisor that there was too much brake dust on the front wheels and would they replace the front pads as long as the car was there for the recall.

They did it. They also showed me how to set the front drivers seat to automatically position itself using just the fob. I didn't know it did that.

Only had the car for 25 months.

I did have to reset a couple of things like the seat memory and the seat belt alarm hack. My phone numbers were still there as well as the radio station presets and the garage door opener was fine.

Car seems just a little bit slower but I haven't driven on the highway yet.

I hit the Trifecta! Just made my appointment at Inskip to do all three services. Always have had excellent experiences there, I'm sure this one will be more of the same.

My dealer evidently gives you a free tank of gas during recall campaigns. Wish i would've driven it down to E.

Do they notify you for this recall by mail or you have to check to see if your vin# is in the category ?

Not sure what their official procedure is, but I did get and email Monday this week from the dealership, then I signed onto the Lexus owners site to confirm, then today before I could even call them, the dealership called me and asked if I'd like to make an appointment.
