First congrads on the car! Glad you found something worth getting.

Second PM VikH on the Navi disc as he has done some research as of recent, maybe you can buy his disc if he gets the new one and you can save some $$ I dont know if he got the new disc or not but he was talking about it.

You need to get the car clean and ready for our meet in the next few weeks.

I lot of people like the disc that came with the 08's becuase of the automatic "I Agree button"
I lot of people also like the disc that came with the 06s because of the override screen.

If you want the best of the both worlds make a hybrid disc

if you can find the 06 version stick with it, I was told the newer version doesnt show the 355 extension and there is probably minor changes to it that you will notice.

Is the car under warranty still?

warranty is warranty and should be fully transferable... 4yr 50,000

"Basic Warranty
The Basic Warranty coverage is for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Wheel alignment and balancing are covered for 12 months or 20,000 miles, whichever occurs first."

can someone tell me which version can do what?

like, actually tell me what 5.1, 6.1, 7.1, 8.1 is good for?

is it 5.1 and 6.1 that can be overridden? 7.1 cannot? because thats what it seems like ive read. correct me.

No, 5.1 is the only version that can be overridden. Be aware that early 5.1 software has a bug that causes the GPS to lose the lock on the satellites. (Many 2006 owners took advantage of a TSIB to trade that disc for one that has 6.1 software and 5.1 maps)

Starting at release 7.1, you don't have to press the "I agree" button each time you start the car.

Version 8.1 is the latest.

I think I'd always want to go with the newest.

I prefer to have my over-ride. Minor changes aren't a big deal to me.
