Default IS audio install worth it?

I have a full audio setup that Ive been waiting to use on the IS but no dash kits have come out. I have a converter to use the stock head unit but Im wondering if this will sound as good as using an aftermarket head unit?

what equipment do you have? have to factor in if the "better" equipment with a stock HU is worth the effort.

edit:^^ ok that just repeats what you asked... so just leave it at "what equipment do you have?"

Very good equipment. A total SQ setup: 2 PPI Art series amps. Front & rear German made speakers 6.5 w/1 inch tweeter, 1 12 inch ppi pro series sub, ppi art series 6 channel xover. My question is will there be a noticeable diff in sq & power using the stock head unit w/ a Audiocontrol LC6 to use the stock HU?

get a processor and it'll be worth to installing a system. audiocontrol makes a few processor. also looking into rockfords 3sixty.2, alpine imprint, zapco dsp6, or audison bit one.

depends...ae you an audiophile or plan on competing at a sound competition? if your answer is yes, then you need to go aftermarket HU.

if your answer is no, keep the stock HU

Allow me to reiterate myself. Of course their is gonna be a difference but honestly its not going to be worth the effort to remove the stock HU.

Will a audio control LC6 be fine? I still want it to sound good, mostly SQ wise & be somewhat loud. However, where will there be such a diff, in sq, in loudness? Some people say there isnt a noticeable difference.

I did the same thing years ago when I had my Acura trying to go with the sleeper/OEM look and changed everything but the OEM HU and added amps etc. It will definitely make a difference as far as sound goes, but it would sound a lot different if you change the HU out.
