i am kinda with you! i am having a baby and if he grows up and wants a faster car i would have said no for one at 17 you cant drive! bro your not mario, dale or there sons so racing is not in the family. (especially if your parents bought you an Is250 you would be driving a vette or a mustang). second i do realize you work and do have great grads (props) but so many kids have that. i just feel untill i was my age now or untill i was about 24 i did not know how to truly handle pure power! my really fast car was a 2004 Sl55 amg the 645cic was slow and the 10 others except for the sti were easy to drive. now my Is-f can be dangerous but i do know how to drive now! turn on sport and take vsc off and you can slip and mess up if your not a good driver. Trade your car! get an evo its easy to drive and it has speed but i would keep the Is250 because in college girls like those more!

Who cares if your friend's cars are a lot faster, you're driving a Lexus. Besides, you're only 17 and shouldn't be racing with them anyway. Would you rather be rolling in a really fast POS? Be happy with what you have, keep the Lex, roll in style. Besides, I'm sure the chicks will dig a guy driving a Lexus versus the guy driving the Civic DX with a real loud obnoxious exhaust.

Be thankful you got a Lexus at 17 more power will likely get you in trouble with the law so IMHO enjoy it. This will last you a long time if you take care of it. My first car (GM product) lasted all of 14 months 7200 miles. At 50 MPH it was borderline unsafe.

funny how society's standard is just increasing...just like my lil cousins....they complaining because they don't have a cell phone...when I was your age bro...i was driving a 82' beat up corolla...i had to earn my own money to get my lexus and i had to use da pay phone to call my people.......these days i see lexus, benz, and cell phones all over high school campus ....crazy world.
