I'm not gonna lie....

If you were in front of me and crying about this, I'd punch you in the chops and then call your daddy to come scrape you up.

Your entitlement mentality is what is driving this Generation Xbox society into a lazy I deserve it work force.

How about you get a real job, pay your own way and EARN what you get in life?

Put it on bags and learn to show off instead of speeding

I've been following this thread since inception, and I couldn't agree more

My Gosh, if my folks had given me a car when I was your age, I would have kissed the ground they walked on, and certainly would not have lookd a gift horse in the month. Before I got my first car, I joined the USAF at the age of 17, and paid for my car myself. My goodness, enjoy your freedom and the wonderful car and chances you have.

and to all those that think teenagers are spoiled for having nice cars, your somewhat wrong. there should be a limit to those that get certain cars. here is the perspective of my parents: (it basically works like the classical and operant conditionings in psychology) if you earn good grades in school and work hard, then you get rewarded with a car or something nice. if you dont, you get punished or dont get what you want. its only fair...but dont reward them just because you want to. THAT is what you call spoiling.

I earned good grades and my parents did not buy me a car. I'm glad they didn't either. Parents buying a car for their son or daughter for doing well in school is buying their love. What I got was praise and respect....that my friend stays with you forever and a car is a piece of metal that will end up in a junkyard.

To the OP, get a job, maybe two like I did, then you can buy whatever you want. Quit complaining your parents got you a is250. If I was your Dad, I would have taken the car back while you were sleeping and placed a Yugo or Ford festiva in it's place.

Everyone, I'm going to politely ask that the personal commentary and flaming stop. We now have 9 pages of comments covering a spectrum of self-pity to outright rudeness, with very few helpful/polite comments in between. Everyone knows the OP is 17 - let's try and look past this and show a bit of community.

That's a massive chip that you're carrying on your shoulder. There's no reason to assume that all Xbox owners are lazy and unmotivated!

No kidding! The OP asked how he could make his IS250 faster, which is a topic that many 250 owners seems to be interested in.

kids will be kids always want to go fast in streets... in time you will learn that speed isn't everything i used to think like you too...want to go faster then all the other cars.. thinking my car is unworthy ...but i soon realize that is just immature thinking.. theres no point that your friend's civic can get to the 7 eleven across the street 2 secs faster then you ..so what .. let him have it .. you have a lexus man.. i will be more then willing to give up that 2 secs of time for that forever comfort and luxury of a lexus. if i see someone driving a lexus (please don't flame me for this) i would immediately think that he has class or atleast mature. don't be jealous because of a little civic is a lil bit faster ..totally different markets... even if you make ur IS beat ur friends civic... soo what.. its just a civic... whose gonan respect you for beating a civic... theres a ton more cars out there that can beat a civic..

Kevin,

Why don't you total the car or have it stolen? Then ask daddy for a 2009 Cadillac CTS-V. With 550 hp you'll no longer be upset.

everyone wants a faster car, but the truth is does it really matter that you can get from point A to point B 15 or 30 seconds faster. And if just because you have a 350 versus a 250 won't make you any happier. If you had a 350 this post will probably be how you wanted a IS-F. When I was your age all I cared about was getting from point A to point B. My senior year in high school I stilled walked to school. Be happy with what you have. My parents bought my car as a graduation present from college. Even then I didn't even all I wanted was a Civic Si. Be happy with what you have. At your high school reunion no one will remember what kind of car you drove back in high school.

Enjoy my freedom? Isnt that what im doing now my stating how I feel and my opinion.

Some of you are getting real mad about this because im 17 and i drive a LEXUS and that I wish my 250 had a bit more HP. I appreciate my car.. I was fortunate enough to get one because my dad works hard to support my family.

And 1) I do have job. 2) I earned my car by my grades and by the scholarships that I have gained to go to Univ. 3) If your getting mad about this thread.. well your entitled to your own opinion just like I am.

Enough with "buying love" and that kind of bullcrap. As a parent now, if I can afford to, I will buy my child anything. And spend time with her as much as I can. But in adult life, time = money. Give me a parent with all the time to dote on his child, I'll show you a broke *** parent most of the time. And a parent who can afford to lavish gifts is a parent who works hard to improve the family's lot in life, most of the times. As a parent, you have to balance the two, but you can bet your *** that I will supplement the time I spent with my child with the best that my money can buy.

Some of you sound like a petulant child who never got time or money.
