Angry Getting Very Upset!!!

Hey guys, my names Kevin, Im 17 yrs old. My parents bought me an 06' IS250 for my first car back in July. The IS is the car I really wanted at the time, but my parents didnt want to get me a 350 so they went with the 250 instead.
Im still in high school, and I only have a small part time job. Im not going to lie.. I have a beautiful car compared to my friends Hondas and stuff, but I'm nowhere near as fast as them, and its really starting to bug me.
Now I wish I would of gotten a 1st Gen or something.. Isnt there anything possible that can be done to our cars??

man, what are you complaining about?! you got a car - drive it, you dont need a more powerful car than 250. I had a bike when i was 17. times change i guess...

If fast is the most important part for you I'm going to be blunt here and say you're in the wrong car.

I don't know a large amount about the go-fast mods for the 250 but Lex mods in general are not cheep.

Damn I wish I had an IS when I was in High School. Geez...I thought I was cool with my '97 Honda Accord back in the day when I was 16.

I love these posts. Reminds me of when I was in high school and the things that were once important in life (IE, not much). *sighs*
Anyway, I'll make this short and to the point. Be grateful for what you have. Your new IS is likely the envy or your Honda friends. Also, the faster you go, the more likely you'll be tempted to drive more aggressively and... Our insurance rates are bad enough as a whole.
Peace

Horsepower for young fellows (I am just a couple years older than you) is simply for bragging rights or to speed (or violating exhibition of speed laws)... The IS250 is not really that slow of a car...it is in the middle range for 0-60 time.... it is like 7.6 seconds?... If you did get more horsepower you will simply want more. Also unless you plan to track your car...in which case you would be better off with some other car than the 2IS...the IS250 is sufficient for daily driving and for that luxury and elegance > horsepower... I have an IS350 and the extra horsepower is rarely ever used. IMO if you really want more horsepower (and much more nibble handling), you should get a used sports car and turn it into a project car...

BTW a IS is very difficult to get significantly more than stock horsepower out of... you would have been better off with many other cars...

Damn a IS250 in high school? I don't know what you are complaining about. I would be really happy with an IS if I was still in high school. I drove a Volvo 740 I think. A big gold color looking tank.
