Default replacing b pillar

does anyone know how to replace the outside door pillar? it's the black glossy one in between your windows... the dealer is charging way too much. if i have an outside shop do it will it void my warranty?

Yes, I too would like to know. I think my car was repo'ed from previous owner and they used something to pry open the driver door, thus leaving marks on the rear door B pillar.

Just ordered a replacement part for Sewell but have no idea how it replace it.

OP, warranty for what? a plastic b-pillar cover? if it get damaged its a great excuse to go CF~ dont sweat the small stuff

The piece costs about 30ish from Sewell with CL discount.

its just double sided tape. pull it off by hand.

Sounds like an exploit. Someone could go to your car and pull these off if it's being simply held by double sided tape muhahaha! j/k!

got some oem parts for cf wrapping. double sided tape with a really tiny yellow clip and little black hook on the bottom

When they tinted my windows, the guys knife cut into a few of mine a bit. I thought they would be a pain in the *** to change out though.

It's about $30 for each individual piece.

You would get the one which you need, unless you want to replace all four. In the diagram, they are 75755C, 757556, 75761A, 75762A.

Not to bad I guess. Thanks for the link. I looked for them a week or so ago, and got lost in all the different diagrams.

Anyone yanked theirs off yet? Looks very easy to put a new one on. I just hate using a ton of force ripping something off.

The AVS visors I had before left small horizontal scuff lines on the glossy black door moldings when I took them off. Some 1000 to 2000 grit sandpaper wetsanded, and some Novus plastic polish made them look like new again. Maybe try that before replacing them.

A good way of hiding any defects on your pillars is by getting these inexpensive cf overlays

Yeah I have thought about them. Do they go around the sides? That's the main place the window tint guy messed mine up.
