So I replaced my driver side rear door B pillar today. It held on by 2 small plastic pieces, one yellow one on top and a black tab on the bottom. But its mostly held on by double sided tape. Replacement was easy, but it took forever to remove the old double sided tape with goo gone.
If you have trouble removing the top yellow clip which I did, you can pry back the rubber liner on the interior side of the pillar and you can use a needle nose clamp to squeeze and push it out.

B-Pillar replacement
Great Info....would really appreciate to see more from those who have done this.. I have a 2016 es350. In the photo of the backside of the OEM replacement it looks like yellow strips are on the double sided tape, but I cannot see any clips. Do you need to buy these separately or are they pre-attached to the new B pillar part and are they the squeeze type or different?
