2009 IS250 MSRP drop?

I'm in the market for a 09 IS250AWD, I priced out the same equipped car on edmund for both 08 and 09 and the 09 came out to be about $1000 cheaper, is this true?

Why did you look on edmund and not the official Lexus site?... I do not think it decreased since they increased mrsp up a bit. Also, you cannot do certain combinations of the options unless you special order.Might be wrong though

MSRP went up.

The price of packages went down.

For instance, an 08 ES was $42,595 with nav. An 09 ES, equipped EXACTLY the same, is $41,595.

This happened with the '08s. They took some equip out of some pkgs that had been included in '07, and dropped the price, but made you buy another pkg to get it.

They took out the HID option and AFS system. i think thats the 1000 difference?

No, the packages are the exact same, they are just "value priced" now.

Same car, same packages, $1000 less.

extreme99 is right tho, they removed the hid headlights and the afs in the 09 2IS, they are only special order now, thats one major reason for the price drop

No, they didn't. The dealership in you area may have quit ordering them equipped that way, but they did not discontinue it.

An 09 IS equipped exactly the same as an 08 IS on my lot right now is about $800 to $1K cheaper.
