I was just driving when the "low tire" icon thing came on the display, and it said "Check system" under it. The orange low tire light was on as well.
I've had low tire pressure sensor go on before but it said "Low pressure" or something below the icon, not check system. I thought I would check anyways since I just threw my winters on 2 days ago and haven't make sure they're the proper PSI yet, so I did and the tires were a TAD low, so I filled them up to the proper spec, but the light didn't turn off.
And it's still on now... soo..
Can someone tell me what this even means? It's clear that it's not telling me that the pressure is low, so what is it ? Is it a problem with the sensors inside the tire, or something with the actual car? Do I bring it lexus, will they cover it? (I don't bring car to dealer except for warranty issues).
BTW, the valves things on the tires don't have the covers on them (again, just put on my winters and they didnt' ahve them so I haven't taken care of that yet). Could that have messed with the sensors? My guess is no since they're internal but I thought I would ask in case.

You mentioned that you just put on your winters. Do they have tire pressure sensors mounted in them? If they don't, then that's the answer to your problem. The check system light will not come on until after 30 minutes of driving if you do not have sensors mounted in your rims. If this is the case, all you have to do is start your car next to your rims if they are in your garage and wait for it to pick up the signal to clear the lights on your dash.
