Post Low Tire Pressure Warning

My brand new IS 250 shows a warning that the tire pressure is low. All of the tires look fine, but I still added a little bit of air to each one. However, when I got back into the vehicle it continued to have a low tire pressure warning. What do I need to do? I would appreciate your help.

1) Go buy a good tire pressure gauge
2) Open drivers door. Read sticker that tells you the correct tire pressure
3) Use gauge you bought in step one to check each tire. Adjust tire pressure to values determined in step 2. Note this should be done on 'cold' tires (e.g. do it after you haven't driven the car for several hours)
4)Using the process detailed in your owner's manual, set the tire pressure check to 'Initial'. Make sure you are doing it for the correct set of tires. See details on this in the owners manual.
5) If you still have the issue take it to the dealer, you could have a bad sensor

Also, MOST IMPORTANTLY, check your SPARE!
The spare can cause that warning too. Since you've checked the tires on the ground, the only other reason could be the spare tire in the trunk.
Good luck, let us know which it is.

The spare can't cause a warning because it doesn't have a TPMS sensor.

This is true..you can tell because it has a rubber valve stem, not a TPMS stem

"All the tires look fine" is not a recommended method of checking.

might be a small nail or something thats letting out air... i had this problem and i did the wrong thing by getting it plugged.. so it started to leak again and so i went to Firestone and got it patched from the inside and balanced

it takes like 30-60 seconds for the TPMS register the new pressure, if it's still on, you need to check the pressure.
