I bought the nav hack unit during the first groupbuy and never have a chance to install. Yesterday I received the front lip from sewell and have free time, so I decided to install the front lip and the nav hack unit. Here is some pics that I took. I know! the car is dirty. Sorry for bad pictures from my cell phone .
The Front lip.
I don't want to post pic of the screen due to JoeZ already post many great pictures on how the system is functioning already.
Cali2is - the install is not hard at all. I didn't drill the bumber though, I used the tape that came with the lip. I removed the old lip without any difficulty.
Nice... I just received the front lip yesterday. Just curious, how hard was the install?? Any problems taking off the old lip?? Thanks
It's a fairly easy install. I just installed mine two days ago and it took me about an hour to do. Make sure to take your time and fit it correctly so you don't have any gaps on the corners. Good luck.
what exactly does the nav hack do? hard to install?
The nav hack unit by pass the factory safety, such as input address, search your phone book...or watch movie, while the car is moving. It is hard to take out the dash assembly. After the head unit removed, it is easy. It took me two hours, including the fabrication the blank plug and screw the nav hack switch to it...
+2 i also want to know this because im wondering if i should get just nav or nav with ml or go aftermarket nav ?
I will upgrade sound system as stock is not what i want so will i need to bypass a oem preimum amp box? or can i just run new speakers with wires from speakers to amps ? and just get remote lead / power ....
