I heard that you have to reset ECU after install an aftermarket/new intake, is that true? What would happen if don't reset ECU? last question...how to reset ECU then?
To reset your ECU... disconnect your battery wait about 30 seconds or so, then reconnect... As far as what will happen... probably nothing, the computer will probably re-adjust after a few drive cycles... What intake are you using? I hope you went through the trouble of cleaning your MAF(with MAF cleaner not intake cleaner) and throttle body since you went through the trouble of throwing in the intake.
I actually tired that method of resetting (pulling fuses) and even left it overnight. Couldn't tell a difference. Pulled the negative battery terminal and man it got jerky! LOVED IT
So wuz the whole point of reseting the ECU if it doesnt make a difference? Shoudnt the computer already read wuz going on after installing a intake automatically? Just wondering, cuz I never knew about this? lol
