Default IS350 Interior Panel Gap

I bought 08 IS350 in May. When I cleaned the interior last week, i noticed that the gap between dash and climate control panel (the center stack where Navi/buttons are located) is about 1mm on driver side. On passenger side, the gap is very tight fit. I will post some pics later. Should i talk to Dealer? Is it normal? I am certain that the gap is different on driver side and passenger side. Please advice. Thanks for advice in advance.

My 06 had the gap on the driver's side as well - about 1 mm. I took it to the dealer to get it fixed, and after speaking with Lexus, they "fabricated a new bracket". This resulted in a 2 mm gap on that side, as well as a 1 mm gap on top of the center stack. When I complained that it was worse instead of better, they said the repair was good will, and the fitment is within specs. I complained to Lexus corporate, and after speaking with the dealer, they also replied that this is within spec. I gave up - thank goodness I'm only leasing.

I'd like to see pics on this. If I were you I wouldn't worry about it, 1mm is barely noticeable at least for me. Besides, the dealer might screw up and even make it worse.

I wrote a thread a few months ago about this same gap you are noticing after doing the nav hack in my car. Was driving me nuts.

A trip down to my local Lexus dealer and looking at two other ISx50s showed me that all the cars have this "gap".

You have nothing to worry about.

I think this has been posted before. not all the units come out perfect, some are more noticeble than others. but if it doesnt bother you, sometimes the dealership might make it worse... lol

I didn't have time to take pic yet. I will try to post it as soon as i get it. Seems like it is normal per other people. I will not just look at it. But whenever i see the other side of the panel, it get annoyed.
thanks.

I am sorry for bumping an old thread, however are there any aftermarket solutions for this gap yet?

I went to the dealer with this, they raised the entire unit by a few mm and it looked a little better, however now it slowly gets worse again.
