Default TPMS solution

I was wondering if any of you had found a solution to the annoying red light that glares at you when you don't have wheels that are compatible with TPMS? I know that you could build a "pipe bomb", but I was wondering if placing a set of the sensors in our spare tire would work?

I'm expecting my SSR Vienna Zweels to be arriving at the end of August. They are TPMS compatible, but I would like to place the sensors in the spare since my winter wheels doesn't have the sensors. So, this would take care of both sets of wheels with one easy solution (if it works). Thanks in advance.
