So what do you mean by 'Hydrogen Fuel Cell'? Do you mean you will mod your IS to be like the Honda FCX Clarity? That will be a big project since you need to solve problems like how to install the tank that store high pressure low temp liquid Hydrogen, and also put in an electric motor and corresponding transmission etc...

Steps to reproduce:
1) Top off tire pressures.
2) Fill up the tank at a gas station on the top of a hill.
3) Turn off A/C
4) Enter highway (down hill) with light accelleration up to 67 MPH.

City driving with lots of traffic jams and short trips totally explains your gas mileage.

I am not sure whether you guys notice that the digital meter reading isn't accurate at all. It is very off.

For instance, the meter read a tank average of 28.x right before I filled up the tank; when I filled up the entire tank, the pump said 14.247 gallons and my trip meter said 360 miles; in order words, the actual mpg should be 25.268 gallon/mile (i.e. 360miles/14.247 gallons). The meter is far off.

Anyone notice that? Or is it just a problem with my meter?

Thanks to my Road Trip iPhone application, I have posted the following MPG after each tank fill.

Tank 1- 18.85
Tank 2- 18.87
Tank 3- 20.09
Tank 4- 19.26
Tank 5- 18.89
Tank 6- 20.83
Tank 7- 21.74
Tank 8- 18.48
Tank 9- 20.14

Average- 19.69, $2.42/Gal, $0.12/mile, 122.22 gal, 2,407 miles since Purchase March 29, 2009.

Big difference coming from a 1997 BMW 540 where I probably average 14-15 MPG.

I drive probably 80% City in Phoenix/Tempe heat.

It averages 25 and I've gotten as much per tank as ~32. Driving to Vegas, I averaged 30+ mpg.
