why do people complain about the dumbo side mirrors. to be honest i prefer the dumbos to the new blinking side mirrors. i like having a bigger area while driving due to the huge blind spots.

I like the update. Everyone is so quick to judge on pictures.

Real tailights: Ugly IMO!
Rear/front bumper: Subtle changes, The front lip looks flush but there is a crack between the two. The rear bumper has a little dark spot, like the middle part is grey. I dont know why its like that but i like it! Also im sure any 06-08 kits will not work with the 09 models. The rear bumper has sharper lines i think.

Sidemirrors: i dont think they're smaller but they do look great! I want

Rims: Ugly, i prefer the x-pac wheels or the oem spoked ones.

Saw the navi buttons: i think i prefer my current ones.

The biggest downside was the rear tailights imo...

U saw the new sport GFX kit and didnt take pics???????

or by "front lip" did u mean front bumper

UGLY tail lights.

I'm so disappointed.

The side-view mirrors are nice because they made them smaller, but then they had to go and add some ugly chrome to cancel it out.

The wheels are hideous, and look like animal hooves, as someone mentioned already.

Way too much chrome on the front grill. Doesn't look terrible, but still too much chrome. Do the Lexus designers not know that the majority of us think chrome is too flashy and outdated? It's a pretty common thought among most car people these days.

The only thing they did well was the front bumper.

I'm so glad I have a 2006 model. These changes just made the IS worse!

So disappointed.

The white stitching on the seats & the power window/door lock switch plate is a bit different. The power window buttons are 3GS style a long with the revised window lock and left/right toggle for the door locks, vs. the old style front to back. Asian markets still get the power mirror fold feature.

I think there will be a problem in the 2009, since kit companies are so lazy making a kit for the IS, now they will have much less options and much more wait

but I love the 09 changes don't really care about it. I hope they wont offer the IS350 in Dubai, so I wont get pissed

Drove the 2009 IS 250 & 350 today at Taste of Lexus. Here are some pictures I took with my iPhone. Sorry if they are not perfect.

I want that new wood trim!
