I believed that guy's story up until the very end where he disclosed the settlement... Any sort of settlement definitely would have them telling him that he must not disclose it or ever talk about that issue or the dealership again.

Remember that parking sensor issue from Daisy a while back? We never heard from them again with a resolution, which is the likely result of a settlement.

Agreed - the story seemed a little strange to begin with, but turned completely unbelieveable with the last post. I wouldn't expect a dealer to pay off a $35k+ car for $500 or less worth of repair parts...they wouldn't be in business very long.

Why do I totally doubt this? Could it be because this is the Internet and anybody can tell any story they want?

wow c'mon... your wheel nearly falling off a day after glendale lexus touches your car. please don't be so naive to think its pure coincidence. I mean yeah, if it was an oil change or a seat belt adjustment it could be inconclusive...but a brake job definitely raises the level of probable cause. Even if the service didn't directly require the tech to touch that bolt, there are too many variables that can point the guilty finger at the dealership. I gota go with the odds on this one and place blame where blame is due.

Go find yourself a trustworthy independent shop and stay away from glendale lexus.

It got me thinking...

Funny how the last time I went there for a TSB,
they didn't acknowledge the fact that Club Lexus existed,
the service man stating "we have nothing to do with a website"
last I checked they're a sponsor.

Oh and they didn't fix my seat creaking noise issue.
Is it when you move the back support part of the seat? Mine is an 01 though

LexusJiffyLube lol

They dont hire 18yr olds though. You have to have a tech degree to work for a company like Lexus, BMW, Merc etc...

Finding a trustworthy shop isnt going to be easy. You might lose money in finding a legit shop. Just go there and see how well they treat there customers and avoid junked cars in the lot. You dont want old parts and get charged for new ones.

If you have to go to a Stealership, just do the oil change. Only time you want to go to a Stealership, is the warranty factor. But go to a reliable shop that you found and let them tell you that. They will post on a receipt or type you a notice of issue, so you can take it to a Stealership. 90% of the time, they will double check. Because no one likes to give out free stuff.

Oh, you probably wont get an extended warranty. You will probably get more free oil changes and some free service. But nothing more. Maybe convince them to hook you up on free gas for a yr

Hehe no, it's this weird noise that sounds like
it's coming from right under the seat or the side
kind of like a bead spring or something like that,
only on some bumps, not suspension cause I checked
that already lol. I got used to it, now I'm dealing with
a slightly bent rim hehe, need new wheels!
