BIG problem with my IS today!**READ**
If anyone puts themselves in your place, they'd understand the tone of your initial post. I would be PISSED if this happened to my car, and I do think it's a little odd that this happened immediately after you pick your car up from a service visit.
It's also inappropriate that they had you call and pay for a cab. At the very least, someone from sales could have taken you home as a goodwill gesture.
Lexus fails on this one. I was similarly treated by a Dodge dealer years ago, was pissed, and got an apology and reimbursement for their poor treatment of the situation. Lexus knows better, period.
This is not a typical failure, and the dealer knows that this is the type of thing that could have ended up in injury/death, followed by major lawsuit. Make sure you hold on to the paperwork from this one, and be certain it is properly documented.

I have to agree with you. If that was to happen to me I'd be equally upset. I brought my car in to Lexus of Carlsbad couple months back for 15k service. I asked the service rep about the brake pad TSIB and he said they would go ahead and do it. When I went to pick up the car, they said they installed new rotors free of charge because mine were wearing down. When I brought my car home I noticed that two of the passenger side rims were curbed(argh never let them take it through the car wash). I spoke to the service manager and he authorized me to repair them at a shop of my choice and guaranteed full reimbursement.
I was very impressed with the way the dealer handled themselves and was going to post on here after having the rims repaired recommending them. That is the kind of service I expect from a Lexus dealer, not what was described above. While a lawsuit is not an option due to the lack of an accident or worse(thankfully) I believe that the word spreads quickly, and many forum members will see this thread and avoid them from now on.
If your tone in dealing with the dealer is similar to your post and writing style, I can't imagine you getting much traction from them regarding this issue going forward.
Calm down, be professional, and don't tell the dealer how much your car costs... They know... they sell those things, and guess what, $50K or not (I don't think your car is $50K), it's still pretty much the cheapest car they sell... And you sure like to use ALL CAPS for emphasis quite a bit, huh?
Yes, what happened to you sucks and the dealer could probably have done a little more for you, but you came off like a big cry baby in this message, even starting with the post title, telling us all to **READ**, as if it was something we all needed to know ASAP.

And this would be completely unwarranted and unfair. Maybe you didn't like what they did after the car got towed and dropped off. Fair enough. But their tech is a very unlikely cause for this problem. It's a freak failure. They do happen. Yes, it's rare, but it does happen. I would not blame the dealership for this issue at all. It was pure coincidence, not cause and effect.
Thanks for all the input guys. Here's some news. The service rep called me and the first thing he asked me was "Have you done any suspension work?" I said "You can totally tell its pure stock". He told me "Ok, because the service manager told me to ask you even though i told him it was stock" Im guessing they got that from my exhaust. Anyways he told me to come by tommorrow morning around 10 to pick up the car since itll be ready by then and he also told me if i have complaints call lexus corp and he insisted to call them and tell them what has happened and see what they can do. So im guessing itll be ok.
But the question is, What should i ask them for? what i was thinking was an extended warranty probably til 100k if possible because thats when i will sell my car. Since i only have up to 55,000and i already drove 45K+ and honestly my car is the 1 out of a million IS's that had this problem, and that doesnt make me feel too safe. Plus i would NEVER want this to happen again to a car thats well known to last longer then most other brands of cars. Also i was planning on asking for a new set of brakes since the reason why i went before was because of the squeaking and squealing in the first place.
Good Idea or No? I honestly think its a fair trade
If you guys have other suggestions please feel free to share.
Thank you guys so much so far to review my long problem and spend time inputting =)

Loaner! Geez, I get a loaner when I get an oil change. Lexus stand behind customer service and warranty work they should get your back. That's what they are all about. Toyota isn't like that. But when you get high end cars from Lexus they should be your best friend. Be cool, clam and just talk to them. Matter of fact bring your service rep that you deal with (that you should be assigned to) and bring him starbucks coffee. It works. Get to know them, don't be an *** you'll get much more out of it.

I NEVER take my car to the dealer. I didnt eve do the FREE 5000 mile oil change. They hire a bunch of 18 year old monkeys to work on our cars.
I avoid the dealer at all cost.
