I always use the snow button and rarely does my car see 2 rpm's (unless going uphill). The drive is a quite different but time wise, i dont think i'm loosing many minutes reaching my destinations. I drive about 75% city and 25% hwy. Its good to know that the IS can get that many miles out of a tank of gas.
wow i wish i got somewhere close to 400

but is keeping the snow button on all the time is that ok??

I don't think you will need snow button. As long as you do smooth driving, normal mode is fine. As myself I was able to hit 401 with the various roads I drive through.

I've been debating with myself for awhile now.. what's the most fuel efficient way to go from 0-60 on the highway?

- 2.5-3kRPM and hit 60 in x seconds. OR
- 2k and hit 60 in greater than x seconds?

The first option allows me to spend less time in my lower MPG range (as per the MPG meter) and allows me to cruise quicker. The second forces me to go up to my target speed slower, while keep me in the low end of my MPG longer...

So far I'm at 200 miles on half a tank. IS350

210? Must be defective..

I drive my IS350 pretty hard and I usually get 320-350 miles per tank..

Over 400 is easy in a 250. My record is 487.4 and I ended up refilling 15.049 gallons.

Living in the city really kills any chances of me getting 400 per tank (damn stop signs!!). That and I love to feel the power when I can finally get out on the freeway, oh well whatcha gunna do? Nice job to those who keep their lead foot under control though!

^ What is your driving freeway and city ratio?

For my routes in IS250 RWD, I can pull 400 off. 250 AWD and 350 would not be able to do this doing the same routes.

I usually get about 280/tank but I usually drive 100% in town and work is 4 miles away. This isn't a huge deal in summer, but in winter the car isn't even warmed up until I'm at the end of commute and it cools down before I need it again.

Just got back from a long road trip and pretty easily got 425 going nearly all highway. I could probably get another 25-50 miles per tank if I drove 65 instead of 82 and was running on flat ground (a big chunk of the run was sea level -> tahoe -> sea level)

I think I set a record on my IS350 getting 305 miles to the tank this week. Yeah, that sucks but so far it's the best ever since I got the car.
