Not sure about Canada, but in the US it's an option. Around $400 I think. Has nothing to do with the Luxury, Sport, or any other package. Same with nav, ML, headlight washers, XM, etc...

Parking sensors is a stand-alone option.

It isn't added to a certain package or type of car.

Your car either has it or it doesn't.

I have the Luxury package, and nope...they didn't come on my car. I wish I had them though because I have really bad depth perception when it comes to parking next to a curb or parking block.

I checked both of the websites (canada, usa) there is alot of differents in options and paks.

Canada only packages:
sport pak = $6,100
Lux pak = $12,100

There is about 11to 13 more opitions like: XM and wheels.
There is no parking sensor opition

Parking sensors are an extra $500.

Well worth it to prevent a $1000+ paint+body shop when you scrape a bumper...

yep...a $500 option that is most definitely worth it, especially when you don't have a back-up camera

the question you should be asking first is, can you retro-fit the factory park-assist system to your non-park-assist-system-equipped 2is?

i wish i had the answer, but 1. i don't have the park assist system, and 2. a search in this forum should give you some clues...

I don't have them either, but I always thought they came with the Navigation System and those sensors came with it.

I regret not getting the Nav system and it's going to cost a lot now to have Lexus install it in my car. New dash kit, actual navigation system, wiring, labor......wow, let the cost add up!

The park assist option is built into the dash display, so unless all models have it programmed in their system but not activated, I don't think it's a feasible retro-fit.

Better recommendation would probably be to just have an aftermarket one installed

If you have the nav don't waste your money. The back-up camera works much better when backing up. The front doesn't have a center sensor so it is useless. The system doesn't always sense some objects and can cause damage. I don't even use it, anymore. If I would have known, when ordering, I would have passed on them. Sorry not worth $500!

I recall another member had an aftermarket one installed at the dealer and it was a nightmare for them. I am sure you can find the thread if you do a search. I believe the OP found out it was an Ebay kit. The dealer doesnt have the sensors to install from what i can recall. You are best to get these from the factory.

I'm kinda glad I don't have them. Wouldn't be able to stand the beeping sound and the 4 little bumps on the back bumper.
