Default Cellphone bluetooth to car audio...

When I was placing the order for my car I was told that the bluetooth feature was standard, allowing my phone calls to come through the car's speakers.`I didn't need the navigation so I didn't get it. I just picked up my IS on Friday and am now somewhat disappointed that I do not have this feature. Is it possible to use the AUX input or something to achieve a similiar set up?

You can buy bluetooth transmitter. Which will go through your FM or AM radio.

That sounds like a good option.

I didn't know that, but someone actually mentioned that to me about 30 minutes ago and we weren't even talking about this. Thanks for the suggestion.

This is why never to listen to the salesman, and rely only on the written sales materials and CL.

This was a TMS representative working at the main North American Toyota Motor Sales office. I thought I could trust them... either way, I didn't want the NAV package and wasn't going to get it just for the bluetooth, but I was disappointed not having it. I still absolutely love this car though.

Well, it's certainly reasonable to believe them. You can get BT standalone in other Lexus models (dare I say ALL other models?)
