Default Tire Rotation

Guys i looked for this but couldnt find the answer i was looking for. I wanted to know that will lexus tell me that i need to rotate my tires or will i have to confront them with it. I just noticed, that im up on 13,400 miles and i havent even got my tired rotated yet.

I used to have a Dodge Durango and i use to take it to Jiffy Lube for oil change and they would tell me that i need a tire rotation.

I hope i didnt cause a problem for my tires

Anyone who would rotate tires on an IS350 would be an idiot. You have done nothing wrong, and your tires are not meant to be rotated - they are different sized from front to rear. Stop worrying, everything is fine.

Staggered setup = no rotation. Depending on your tire tread, I guess it would be possible to rotate from side to side, but what's the point??

rotational tires you can flip.. but it can be dangerous depending if you have any sidewall damage. for run-flats, typically inside outside.. you cannot do anything to them

your problem isnt the rotation of tires, its going to jiffy lube.

Yeah, no joke! Back in the day when I had my Honda, I went to one of those "Jiffy Lube" type places....needless to say my car sound like a piece of sh%t afterwards. It's kind of like trusting the people at a beauty college to cut your hair...yikes!

i only take my car to the dealer for service. you can really mess up your car if you take it somewhere else and they end up rotating your tires.

Staggered tires cannot be rotated front to back (the preferred rotation). If they are non-directional tires, they can be rotated side to side (some people say that this is inadvisable but the tire companies usually dont say this). Asymmetric tires (an inside and an outside) can be rotated, per the above, if they are non-directional also. Some appear to be directional, others don't (I would contact the manufacturer if you have any doubt).

Check the sidewall, if there's an arrow the tires are directional and should be mounted with the arrow pointing forward when at the top of it's rotation. No arrow, and you can move the tire to the other side of the car.

The dealer flipped my tires, but the remounted the rims too. They said they don't usually do it, but since I complained about the wear on the insides they did it for me. I think it was done at 10k or 15k which is when I noticed the extra wear.
