Navigation Question
Hey Guys!!
Question...
If I was to buy this navi console (see link below) would I just take my curent console out and put this one in? would it fit and plug in directly? do I need anything extra? Any Navi CDs that I would need to buy?
Do you think it would be worth it? Current price is $660.
I drive a 2006 IS250, AT, basic

If you do a search there is a DIY where someone switched their non nav to the oem nav. The ebay link looks like it doesnt come w/ the steering wheel controls or the gps antenna. Also, there are still 9 days left in the auction so the ending price will probably be around 1500.

^^ This second unit looks like a better deal..
I would like to mention both of these units listed will NOT play DVD's since they are not Mark Levinson equipped head units...
If your good with DIY projects, it can work..
Otherwise I recommend selling your IS and finding a NAV equipped one..
Less headaches for sure..

if it takes that many parts and that much labor to do the non-nav -> nav upgrade, trade up to a 2is that has nav.
better yet, trade up to a 2is that has nav + ML so you can play/watch DVD's!
