Default 02 navigation and stereo removal?

I know Do a search but my question is can I downgrade a ul navigation and mark lev stereo to a standard non navi center console? If so are all wire harnesses the same or some extras just not used? Reason I'm asking is the navi unit in my car just went bad, stereo, ac, and everything other than navigation and maintenance menu work just fine. I would like to swap to a standard system if possible. Anyone in San Diego want to swap?

AFAIK you need to replace everything including the wiring.

Why not just change the nav default screen from map to audio and buy a Garmin for around $150? It is probably the cheapest and easiest fix.

You might want to check the Nav DVD in the trunk, units can be bought on Ebay for 500 to 750. Just a thought.

Well that sucks if I need to replace wire harnesses as well. Was hopping the downgrade would be pnp.
I already have screen transition to off and don't really need navi at all so just wanted to remove it.
