I am in the process of installing a set of HID's and the bulb will not fit into the housing. I have an 08 with halogens (obviously). I have H11 bulbs, but the plastic housing that screws in is way too small. See pics below.








Are these the right bulbs? They say H11 on the tags, box, bulb itself. Where did I go wrong?

 

The pics are pretty small so it's hard to tell but it looks like you need to take off that semi-transparent ring off the H11 HID bulb.

 

I'll fix the pics. But the black ring is way smaller that the other bulb.

 

yeah sometimes the bulb dun fit in perfetly..sometimes its just too big....u gotta modify the ring to fit in..like i did when i bought the Volt Hid...

 

New pic. The "key" part that locks in is too small. Now what?

 

You might got the wrong size. and the pic is not clear

 

Did you ever figure this out???

 

It is possible that the seller did not send H11 bulbs. The base on the H11 should not be that small.
