D2R Retrofit to 9006?

Default D2R Retrofit to 9006?

any one here know how to retrofit a D2R bulb into a 9006 housing such as my GS fogs?

get an old pair of 9006 bulbs, use the base of that, stick it somehow on teh HID bulb.

on ebay youacn find the base that you can put on the bulb to make it fit on 9006 housing

or you can just cut out the ring from a 9006 and dremel it to fit a d2r

Yes, but you didnt give any descriptions.. All you said was take the base and stick it somehow onto the hid bulb.

It'll be funny if he tried to use the "base" and jam it to the D2R end of the bulb....

it dont fit.

Here's of a pic of my set that I had purchased a while back when i still had halogen headlamps.

Item on left was from a 9006 bulb. It was dremeled off the bulb just to get the ring.


Here's what it looks like when put together.

so this can be done to any hid kit ..cool!!!

umm.... i just searched for hid 9006 base, that's how i found it. the one i looked at it expired already though. not seeing any right now, i guess it's on and off?
