This same thing just happened to a female CL member in Florida two weeks back. Karma will get that person who did this to your vehicle. The European model ISX50's have a "Shock Sensor" where out sunglas holder is. Wish the US models had that.

Give more details. Where in Cali did it happen? Apartment complex, home, garage, carport, work parking lot, time, etc etc?

It makes my blood boil when stuff like this happens... I parked my previous car at an apartment complex, and the next day the side mirror was broken off, scratches all over the hood... Getting crazy just thinking about it

Default Did you check the glovebox?

Damn. That sucks!

Make sure they did not take ANYTHING! Sometimes, they steal your identity through your registration and insurance info. And if they take your VIN and license plate number, they've got a bunch of info on you.

Get credit protection. Make sure your car note/loan info is protected. Contact the DMV for any suspiscious activity. And register your car through Lexus.com so that you can trace any information regarding your car.

Car thieves usually break into a car because they see something that attracts them (i.e., purse, wallet, laptop, ipod, cell phones, backpacks, stuff animals, etc). If it's in visible view for them, it's potential for break in. Never put any valuable belongings in plain view. I always put in the trunk. They know they can't drive the car without the car remote so what's the point of breaking in and there's nothing to take. It wouldn't make sense to me unless someone really hates you and knows what you drive =)

Wow sorry to hear at least nothing seems to be stolen. Someone needs to find out how much it would cost to get those intrusion sensors into our cars.

Default Feel your pain

I definitely feel your pain. Someone did the same thing to me about a little over a month ago trying to get to my Garmin GPS unit. It was right in a restaurant parking lot too, my heart sunk when I walked out in the pouring rain to see a cruiser behind my car and glass everywhere. The guy used a screwdriver to bend out the pillar and shatter the glass. They did a great job repairing the body damage, but I still hear glass in the door I didnt notice until weeks later since I don't get in on the passenger side often or I would have made them take a look again. Make sure you test closing the passenger door after its repaired and good luck!
