It is a common misconception that the road to hell is paved with good intentions; in reality, the road to hell is paved with petty thieves who get hot pokers shoved up their backsides.

This concern me alittle. So our car alarms doesnt go off when the glass shatter ? How about something hits our car leaving a dent ? what kind of impact does it have to be in order for the alarm to go off ?

Our car alarm is WORTHLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is only ONE pertinent situations where the alarm will go off.

1. Car is locked (alarm engaged).
2. The window is open (Either by you leaving it open, or them breaking it).
3. They unlock the door from the inside and open the door.

To my knowledge, there are no shock sensors or sensors on the suspension.

If someone's going to break a window to get into your car, they could care less about an alarm, and an alarm isn't going to stop what's going to happen. The damage to the car is the major problem, not the material items that can be replaced.

In the end the fact remains: alarms are just a little better than door locks---it just keeps honest people honest. If someone wants in your car, they'll get in there one way or another, without a care for horns or what-not.

alarms arent going to do crap anyhow... you hear them go off all the time.. its so annoying and people will just nonchalantly walk by...

well its better then nothing, i mean they can break the window and with the alarm not doing anything it will be easyer and if there was an alarm people will turn their heads to see which car is it and the perosn breaking in might flee which means your stuff wont be as touched.

if that made sense.

Anybody who has stuffed animals in their IS is asking for it, and should have the car taken away from them anyway!

near the naval base in the new development. i think they mistook the snugli strap-on baby carrier for something valuable, we're missing that.

anyway, cop said there was another report earlier of vandalism/broken into in the same neighborhood, so he was camping out here waiting to see if he'd get more calls. and yes he did. my neighbor and three other were broken into on christmas day.

AND... the scary/interesting thing is.. my wagon was out for a few weeks, and i was washing it today, and noticed all three windows on the passenger side (front, rear, cargo) had the tell-tale signs of someone peaking in. little swirl marks left from wiping away condensation. wow.. seems as tho the same person/group has just been making the rounds.

Hey, I've got a stuffed animal riding with me in my IS and am proud of it.

Now, just to clarify: it is my school mascot, and it sits in the BACK seat
