Sucks to hear. Same thing happened to me 2 months after I got my IS.
Accidentally left my Blackberry in the front passenger seat. Seat scratched up from the glass. Outside door body had chipped paint also from the glass. Expensive to repair. They had to repaint my door, replace the glass as well as the leather that covers the seat (insurance was too cheap to replace the whole thing). The leather that covers the seat was more than 1500 itself! Luckily insurance covered the body shop total, which was close to 5 grand! But still have to pay the 500 deductible. Some of the glass that flew scratched the cup holder lid but the insurance guy felt it wasn't from the break in. Sucks.

stupid idiots.. smashed the front passenger side window. didn't take nothing cause there was NOTHING TO TAKE.. idiots 
now, door is gouged and donno if all the glass on the roof and hood scratched anything up. sometimes, wish we had video surveillance like in europe.. sometimes..
body shop must luv me now.. granted, he's enjoyed my business for over a decade, but.. it'll be the third visit in less than a year
