Default 06 IS250 GPS Lost. Help !!!

So pretty much.... I go onto this new built freeway and ever since then the GPS is not locked no more. How do I know that? The word GPS is missing under the compass. I am still driving it around with the right position and stuff when I recalibrate it at home. There is just no GPS signal lock. What could be the problem here?

I have one of the early build 06 IS250's. I know I can bring it into the dealer and let them check it out. Just curious to what the problem is? I think there is a TSIB for this also? Can someone point me in the right direction?

All help is appreciated. Thanks

Same thing happened to mine. Took it to the dealer, problem solved. Most likely they just hit the figurative 'reboot' button.

Yes i believe there is a TSIB fix for this so it will be a covered expense/cost by the dealer/lexus. if you can find someone that knows what they are doing you can have it done in 5 minutes and be gone. i have installed them in previous cars in the past and its really easy.

The TSIB does not give you the latest nav disc. Rather, it gives you the same maps with updated software. After the dealer replaces the disc, you should find that the system is much better at locking satellites. One of the diagnostic screens shows a list of locked satellites; on my car the number of locked birds nearly doubled after they replaced my disc. The downside of the replacement disc is that it removes the "override" diagnostic function that many people use to enter destinations while the car is in motion.
