Yes you cannot rotate the is350 tires in the normal way, you must unmount and remount sideways only.

As for philip doing his own... it costs him more thou cuz he breaks stuff I suggest you read the manual first *tells ya to put it on recirculate * and if its not in the manual, check the sticky FAQ *tells ya to put it on recirculate there too *, is an example.

Oh, perhaps the title of this thread should have been something else.

Post Read the manual

I just got my 2008 and made it to the tire rotation page in the owner's manual earlier tonight.
  • 2WD models with 16-inch tires and AWD: rotate front to back, keeping the driver's side tires on the same side and the passeger side tires on the same side.
  • 2WD models with 18-inch tires: rotate side to side, keeping fronts on front and backs on back.
  • 2WD models with 17-inch tires: cannot be rotated
Also look for a directional arrow on your tires, which should point forward. If they are mounted in the wrong direction, directional tires will perform poorly.

Lexus' 30-day/1,000 mile and 6-month/5,000 mile services are complimentary.

The only winner here is the IS250 AWD since you can swap the entire rim & wheel from front to back every 5k miles or oil change...

Generally speaking, As long as the tire does not say "This Side Out Only" & "This Side In Only", it can be rotated side to side when dis-mounted..
Especially if they are directional as well..

I may consider swapping my fronts & rears side to side around 10k or 15k miles.. depending how the wear looks..

But the whole idea of dis-mounting, re-mounting & re-balancing 4 Liquid Graphite Wheels, just doesn't sit well with me...

IF everything wears even with my driving habits: 90% fwy / 10% Local, I hope these tires will last me approx 25k-30k miles... (without rotating my Bridgestone Turanzas)

Just looking foward to buying & mounting new tires when needed...
