10k service - maintenance schedule

Anyone have a maintenance schedule handy? Mine is in the car in the service bay. My dealer has estimated $352 for the 10k service and has included replacing the A/C cabin filter. Seems pretty high to me for nothing more than an oil change & tire rotation. After calling around to a couple of other dealers, they have quoted $155 and $225 for the 10k service, and both say that the filter (@65.80 cost) is supposed to be replaced at 15k and not 10k.

Has anyone else had the 10k yet? If so, what did you pay and did they replace the A/C filter?

Thanks

You know if they were selling these cars for $100 over invoice, I'd understand the need to gouge on service.

There's a procedure in your Owner's Manual on locating and replacing the cabin filter. It is situated in the glove compartment and is a two minute job, if that. Oil replacements and tire rotations are a little more intensive, but if you want to save money, they're relatively simple. An oil filter change and filter replacement procedure was recently posted by 460LEX here with helpful photos.

Replace oil and filter, reset light
Rotate tires

Replace air conditioner filter

Visually inspect brake pads and rotors

Road test vehicle

If you drive on dirt roads or dirty roads,

Inspect axle shaft boots
Inspect ball joints and dust covers
Inspect engine air filters
Inspect steering linkage and boots
Tighten nuts and bolts on chassis

Anyone have part numbers for the LS 460 Front Cabin Air Filters?

There is a "particulate" filter, and an "activated charcoal" filter -- what's the difference?

Which one originally came with the vehicle?

Is the "charcoal" filter worth the extra price?

My car has both. I'm not sure but I think the charcoal filter is only for the cars that have that option. Can anyone conferm this?
