Default Bye Bye Guys

Hello guys,

I have been a member for a long time, some times active. I just traded my 2007 Black sapphire IS250 with 5500 miles for a new 2008 Accord coupe.

I liked my IS250 but i have some negative feelings also. first of all the quality is not of a premium brand, worst being the paint and then the wind shield. The engine is very slow for a V6 with 205HP.

I do have positive feelings also, looks are great and women love this car, when i put this car for sale on line 99.99% of my callers were women.

Over all for the money you pay you get lot of response from the people on road and friends.

It was nice to be here and bye bye, any comments welcome

Honestly I would rather drive an underpowered IS250 than ANY accord out there. Thats just my opinion.

Lexus quality is not there, are you kidding me? If you are disappointed in Lexus quality then for sure you will be disappointed with the Accord's quality.

As for the paint. ALL new cars these days come with soft paint. Yes Porsche, mercedes, bmw. ALL cars do!

Thats why people get a clear bra. I have a clear bra on my IS250 and I dont even have a SINGLE rock chip.

I agree completely with you. When I was looking at the new IS's at the dealer, the first thing that struck me is the awsome quality of the paint on them.... some of the best I've ever seen on any car. Good luck with the Accord, I hope you like it more then the IS.

Did you trade in your IS250? If so, how much did they give you for the trade?

Did you get an Accord coupe or Sedan? How much?

No doubt he took a big hit.
The Accord coupe is nice but doesn't have the curb appeal of a IS.
Also is a 'chick car' too.

I've never been a fan of HP, I just like the nice ride, quality and service I recieve at Lexus. This is my first Luxury car....i'm never going back to a "regular" car....lol

I haven't gotten a clear bra yet, but thats next on my To Do list.

Nice of you to point that out.

I was going to say something along those lines, but didn't want to risk further emasculating somebody coming out of a girly-man IS250.

Good luck with the Accord quality if the IS250 doesn't float your boat.

The new Accord coupe looks nice but I wouldn't touch it for 2 major reasons:

FWD
Interior quality

Everyone has their own view of what they want in a car. No doubt the new Accord is a nice car especially with the new 268HP V6 they have in it.

But build quality? You're talking about the lack of quality in this car? Look how cluttered and ugly the console is in the Accord....

Holy crap good luck trying to navigate that mess of a console while driving.

The interior looks a lot cheaper to me then an IS. You're going from an IS...

.. to this?

Good luck with your new car though, as long as you're happy with it.

I do have to admit, when it comes to a blend of functionality and some sport, the Accord coupe is a wise choice. I'm glad you found a car that better fits your needs and desires.

You will be missed in the IS Forum, but are always welcome to CL.

Maybe you can do a little mini-review of your car in our Car Chat forum. We have a lot of members interested in the car, and our in-house car review-meister Mike (mmarshall) has done an extensive review on the car late last year. AND POST PICS!!!
