Hey, I've been browsing these forums for a while now but this is my first post as I've finally found a problem with my car that I can't seem to solve myself. Well, I have the navigation system and my CDs in my cd player won't play. I try ejecting and loading discs and it makes that noise it usually made when I switched discs. After a minute, nothing happens and I can't get it to work. I'm tired of driving with no music on because I absolutely hate what they play on the radio.
Is there any toggle procedure I can take before taking it to the dealer? I have 5 CDs in there I don't want to lose. If I was to take it to the dealership, would they be able to retrieve the CDs for me? I'm assuming if I have to order a new CD player, it is covered under warranty. Thanks.
I have this happen to me when I first got the IS. But I figure a way to get it ejected, not sure will it work for you but give it try. Take a look at my post. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=273300
This happened to me once and I just whacked the side of the center console and it worked fine after that and ever since. It was a disc that had slipped and my whack seemed to fix it put it back on track.
