my 2014 lexus gs350 awd has always called for the yzza3 filter since new according tk my dealer? I never heard of the yzza5 til a diff dealer told me it was the correct one for awd? Theres no diff! So why would 2 diff dealers have conflicting info being dealers! Thats why i hate dealerships.

I think it is more the employees misinterpreting the information before them.

No disrespect but dealerships just are what they are. We're on an enthusiast forum for Lexus because we want to DIY.

The A3 and A5 filters are the same, what's different is what comes with the filter (the drain port included in A5 and not in A3). When I do oil changes on my RWD I often use the A5 because I can get it at Toyota dealerships (used on the Dual VVT-i 1GR), and the A3 isn't.

That's if I don't have any 04152-31080-79's on hand, which are the Japan-only version that come in a Lexus box instead of a Toyota box for that extra special feel.
