Default Picked up my 2008!!

Just picked up my '08 IS350 this afternoon. This is my first Lexus and it's pretty freaking amazing--top shelf stuff .

Tungsten/Gray
Luxury Package with 18's (I LOVE the graphite silver alloys)
Navigation
Mark Levinson

I have a 5th Generation NAV with most recent version DVD (7.1?). Sadly, the Nav override trick I had read about here (in order to enter destinations on the fly) doesn't work. I don't see myself doing the hard override (wire cut), so maybe someone will discover how it can be accomplished on this newer platform . If I've missed a thread on this already, sorry.

Welcome! Put some winter tires on it if you plan to drive it in the snow.

Congrats on your new ride. In Illinois, they issue plates before you drive it off the dealership lot huh?

I didn't know they were available in those sizes. Tirerack does not list them... weird.

To be more specific, the fronts are Winter Sport 3Ds and the rears are Winter Sport 3Ms... The TireRack says Dunlop approves matching those two treads (by pictures they're almost the same). I had to go with the different brands because of the requirement to have a taller rear wheel (the 3Ds didn't come in 45 aspect ratio). I couldv'e gone with 3Ds all around if I chose the rears to be 245/40-18 but I opted for the thinner tires.

Having said that, their inventory was apparently running really low on all of the above ...
