Default Aftermarket HID leveling for a flat cutoff?

Okay I've installed an aftermarket HID kit (xenondepot) and want to level out the beams so that the cut off is even. Right now the right side is higher than the left side and I know that this was by design to not blind oncoming drivers on the other side of the road. My problem is it seems like the uneven part of the cut off seems to come from the drivers side headlight only as once I had a loose connection on the passenger side and with the drivers side beam still producing a uneven horizontal cutoff level. It's as if there's some piece in the headlamp assemble creating this and not due to the right head lamp at different levels than the left. Anyone who actually did the adjustments know how to fix this?

Here's a pic of how the cut off looks like right now. Even when I don't have the other headlamp on the cut off still looks like this! Thanks!

I have the XD HID kit too and my cut off looks like that. However, I have raised my projectors higher but the cutoff remains the same.

I think that's just how it is since we are putting HID in a halogen projector. I have never driven a OEM HID IS before so I do not know what its cutoff looks like.

The cut off is the same for both headlights. OEM HID, Cover your driver side headlight and you will see that the Passenger Beam is the same. At least on my car it is. I believe its OEM for HID to have the cut off on both sides. But I could be wrong. I have AFS

I know that these are halogen projectors but why is the driver side like that only? I don't think BOTH lamps are the same otherwise if they were the cutoff would be even but it's not. It almost seems like there's an extra piece in the drivers side lamp that is blocking out part of the beam. I'll try covering each of the lamps later tonight to see if both sides have the same beam pattern. I have a feeling they wont though.

The driver's side is lower for less blinding of oncoming traffic.

Does the passenger side light blind oncoming vehicles?

The cut off is on both sides. When you pull up closely to your garage or w/e you can see both of them are like that. From far, they are a single beam pattern. Leave it as is... designed to be like that so people are not blinded.

It could just be the AFS lighting that has the cut off on both sides, mine are like that. try covering one headlight with a towel tonight while facing a wall. But Im certain both sides have cut offs for OEM HID at least

This is correct, I have factory HID and the headlights "stair step" up from left (drivers side) to right, but from a distance they appear "flat lined".

Cheers,
