Default Removing doublesided tape?

Is there any way to remove a spoiler installed by double sided tape? My spoiler has a scratch so I want to get it repainted. Its fiberglass and im hesitant to put too much force on it when removing. Any suggestions?

Huh, well never taken it off of paint, but off of a window I have used just a blow dryer since I was worried that a heat gun might be too hot.

I have used the hot So Cal SUN several times and it worked like a charm..

Heat Gun is a not a good idea.. it can & will burn the paint if mis-used..

A blow dryer is much safer... Try to do this on a warm sunny day.. not sure if there are any coming up in NJ..

3M Spray Adhesive remover should help in cleaning up the trunk area of any residue after the lip is removed..
Again, when used carefully..

Plenty of soap + water...

Also try spraying WD40 and letting it sit for a while.
