haha, i showed my dad and i said "look how safe it is, theres even pillows that come out the glass when someone crashes into you" and he said "well we will go to the dealership this week.... haha i thought that was funny
It performed very well in those tests. It looks like Lexus has done an excellent job with making the body and doors very rigid yet they still deform appropriately.

Those "pillows" are essentially a "bomb in a bag" and really look like pillows for only a fraction of a second. A lot of people who blink at the moment of impact think that the airbags in their cars failed when they just see the limp bags hanging.
But the side curtain variety were long overdue, IMO, and are a huge factor in side impact survival. Just contrast the crash scores of cars that offer them as options with and and without the curtain bags. All that hard side-window glass is really, really close to the ol' melon.
^ Yup, when i was searching for cars, side airbags (and curtain airbags if they were an option) had to be on the car. The crash test really prove how much they help in accidents.
OH WOW, i wanna tell my friend to drive into a wall while i sit in the pass seat, that pass airbag looks like a BIG BOOTY i would love to stick my face in
