I have a 250-AWD with about 30k miles on it and I have never once seen the maint req'd light come on. I always do my oil changes at about 3k miles and I know for a fact that my local mechanic has not reset the light so shouldn't it come on by the second oil change?

 

Huh, maybe bc you are doing you oil changes so soon its never getting a chance to come on.

 

You will only see the maint req'd light when you reach about 5000 miles.

If you are really 100% sure no one is resetting it, then you've got me stumped. In that case, I'm just as curious as you to know the answer here.

... But I think someone must be resetting it...

 

get the light (led) checked.......i rebuilt a dodge neon engine because the (oil) light was faulty and the lady drove around with no oil

 

Yours is a Canadian model? Check your owner's manual for oil change information. The US owner's manual says "U.S.A. ONLY" for the warning indication on the multidisplay. Maybe they figured Canadians don't need a reminder.
