I posted this in the electronic forum but I didn't get any help! I'm installing a CB radio in the glove, but I'm not sure how i can get the power. Some one help?
You most likely will have to run power from the battery to the glove box. You will also probably have to find a ignition power from the ignition area and run it to the glove box as well. Not much help since the last thing I would want to do is mess with the wiring in this car so I don't have direct specifics but would recommend taking it to a stereo shop and have them run the wiring.
LOL! yeah a CB..spin got most of it..they speak in code, but there are websites where they list all the codes. Its also fun messing with people on the highway during road trips.
Some states can be used to listen in on police stations. My buddy had one, i found it pointless since they mostly talk in code. "We got a 4-30 in blah blah blah, followed by a 10-68 in blah blha blah"
Where in the U.S. do they use CB for public safety? Whoever told you this, I think, is wrong. Unless you're in Hazzard County, Georgia. In all seriousness, public safety frequencies are licensed very carefully by the FCC. Any public safety agency can't just set up shop without meeting federal and state standards, one of which is communications.

not if you have some friends that like to scramble with the frequencies. you know how people who street race happen to know when the 50 are coming. Well i know some of them.
