OEM spoiler -- no drilling install?
Please report results. Any "play" in the spoiler at all?
Can the 3M tape alone stand the Cali heat?

I drilled mine. I say do it right the first time. Not like you are going to ever take it off right?

I just used alittle bit of silicone around the screw. Thats it. I do not think you need to use anything.
I installed a rear oem spoiler on my moms Toyota Highlander 5+ years ago. I didnt use any rust proof materials and its fine even today.
You are in CA I wouldnt worry about rust.

stock tape that came on spoiler and a little extra 3m tape. i've had the car to 140mph, in the freezing cold , and texas heat. No problems. There is no need to drill into your car.

i don't think you should drill it because what if you want something down the road later on? just use the tape method imo

actually we were lying. It's a cruel joke we like to play on all the n00bs. Your spoiler is going to go flying off next time you hit 75mph.
